| As for the Falkens, they have good levels of grip for a street tire. I can take onramps as fast as I dare, and have not had any problems. I would need to be far more agressive than I'd be comfortable with on the street to push them past their limits. I can't speak to noise, since my car is somewhat loud to begin with. My suspension and exhaust setup, along with drivetrain noise that I need to take care of make it tough to tell how loud the tires are on the highway. I have tracked with them and while I did reach their limits, I can say that limit is beyond what I was able to achieve on Yoko ES100's. I can't ask any street tire to hold up to hard track time. I remember my 275/40-17's running about $135 or so installed.
